National Sales Manager - Accessories - Department Stores

We are searching for a National Sales Manager with experience selling to the Regional Department Store Channel. Experience calling on accounts such as Belk, Dillards, Neiman Marcus, Stein Mart, Peebles, Saks Fifth Avenue and Boscovs. This position will also have responsibility for Military sales. Candidates need to have recent sales experience in the fashion, accessories, sunglasses, handbags, watches or shoes. Responsibilities include: Leads the analysis, development and execution of the Regional Department Store Channel customer management strategic plan which is consistent with the companys overall goals and objectives. Develops product and programs specific to the channel and results in a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Ensures that the strategies and targets are understood and incorporated into plans developed by other groups as appropriate. Ensures that customer management capacity and capability when integrated with the business plans are adequate to deliver the Company's volume and profit commitment. Reaches agreement to the annual volume and profit forecast with the Vice President of Sales and owns progress versus the forecast. Provides overall leadership for customer business development results through the Regional Department Store Channel and other customers. Assists and leads the sales team with account penetration and resolution of corporate issues. Interface with Design, Marketing and Category Directors on new product development, category strategy, product revisions and programs specific to the channel. Develops, maintains and /or improves close relationships with key contacts. Ensure best practices are communicated and executed. Leads improvement in the Regional Department Store Channel sales organizations capacity and capability to achieve the companys annual and longer-range objectives. Works with HR and leadership team to: identify necessary competencies and specific training needs and ensure development of future sales leaders.
